Obsqura is art made wearable in ode to adornment as ritual where silver, gold and brass metals are carved and forged into unique statement pieces.

Each piece is individually handcrafted by Erica Sundrop through a slow and intentional alchemic quest of lost wax carving and silversmithing, allowing the unique nature of each design to come alive with the resonance of something truly magical.
Inspiration is drawn from myth, tribal adornment, the natural world and her decayed skeletal offerings.
Currently, Erica creates from her home studio on Wurundjeri country, Warrandyte Vic, Australia.
The journey:
2017 // Obsqura began as an upcycled statement jewellery project. Recycled inner tubes, ethically scavenged bones and chunky raw crystals set the foundations for hundreds of empowering one of a kind statement pieces.
5 years followed of exploring the relationship between form and adornment as true creative expression, drawing inspiration from nature, myth and magic.
2021 // A natural shift into the landscape of silver smithing and lost wax carving allowing for more elaborate and unique designs to become a reality.
